An invitation to Tokyo

Singapore is coming to Tokyo.

A public showcase wrapped in a market-entry programme that helps you understand and enter the Japanese market: a collaboration between Singapore and Japan, growing into an annual bridge between the two countries.

How the programme works

Three parts, across two countries.

Shiok! isn't a two-day pop-up stall. It's a 4-day market-entry programme. You're prepared in Singapore, trained in Tokyo, then you go live.

1

Part 1 · Pre-departure · Singapore

Get ready at home

  • Three half-day sessions before you fly: “Is Your Brand Ready for Japan?”, “Winning the Japanese Buyer”, and an online Admin & Pop-Up Stall Briefing. You arrive in Tokyo already knowing your customer, your buyer, and exactly how your pop-up stall will run.
2

Part 2 · Tokyo · 24–25 Feb

Tokyo Immersion

  • Two full days of talks, fireside chats and a founder panel with Japan-based experts and founders, covering Japan market entry, media and PR, getting onto Japanese shelves, marketing, and stall-ready Japanese, closing with a walkthrough of the venue itself.
3

Part 3 · The Market · Tokyo · 26–27 Feb

Go live

  • The two-day public showcase at Tokyo International Forum, with trade and media on Friday, the public on Saturday, live stage introductions for every pop-up stall, and a bilingual team beside you.

Prepared, trained, then live. one programme, one fee.

What's in it for your brand

Far more than a pop-up stall.

You get a launch team, a built-in audience and a full market-entry programme built around your brand, not just a table for two days.

01

A ready-to-sell presence

A furnished pop-up stall, a bilingual sales team, a Guest-of-Honour opening, and professional photo and video you keep.

02

A built-in audience

Live stage introductions, Japanese influencer coverage, and footfall drawn to every pop-up stall.

03

A sales-ready toolkit

A bilingual sales kit, a premium Brand Book feature, and coaching before and after.

The full what's-included list comes in your info pack.

The maths

Your fee is S$6,500, not S$15,000.

To be crystal clear: the S$15,000–24,500 below is what it costs to do Tokyo on your own. It is NOT our price. With Shiok!, your fee is S$6,500, and everything is handled for you.

Going it alone, not us

  • Venue & pop-up stall build
  • Logistics & shipping
  • Bilingual staffing & translation
  • Marketing, media & photography

What it costs on your own: S$15,000–24,500

This is what others spend doing it themselves, not your Shiok fee.

With Shiok!

S$6,500

Your all-in fee

Eligible Singapore SMEs can claim up to 70% of this back through Enterprise Singapore's EDGE Grant. (We will support you in reaching out to SME Advisors on this grant application).
  • Everything on the left, handled for you.
  • Plus the programme, media exposure and buyer introductions.
  • One fee. One team. Done.
You save S$8,500–18,000 versus going it alone.
The Brands at the Market showcase table

Why Tokyo, why now

The window is wide open.

World's 3rd-largest consumer market

Japanese consumers spend with intent and pay a premium for design, story and craft.

Strong affinity for Singapore brands

Already associated with quality, modernity and multicultural design.

A receptive post-Expo window

In the wake of Expo 2025, interest in ASEAN creative brands is peaking.

Going alone costs far more

A solo Tokyo pop-up runs S$15,000–24,500 once venue, logistics, staffing and translation stack up.

Is this you?

Is this you?

  • A Singapore-originated brand, founded, co-founded or led by a woman
  • Product-based or experiential
  • Ready to test Japanese consumer response
  • Open to meeting Japanese buyers and distributors

Not a fit for a pop-up stall?

Some businesses — consultancies, services, B2B and wholesale brands — are better suited to Parts 1 and 2 alone. If that sounds like yours, do mention it when you write to us and we would be glad to talk it through.
